March 26, Hollister Services Update

Hello Family and Friends,

I hope all of you are staying strong during this unbelievably difficult time. If we can stay half as strong as Kyle, we should all be OK.

Due to the overwhelming requests of the community of Hollister to donate for Kyle's Services on Thursday, food will be accepted at the services. His family and friends will handle the main course as well as drinks. If you would like to bring a side dish and a story to share, please feel free to do so.

One thing about Kyle that touched us all was the wide range of friends that he kept. Kyle was friends with people of all faiths, ethnicities, gender and age. If you were a good person that was honest and doing right, Kyle most likely would become your friend. That being said, we invite those from all walks of life to attend the services Thursday.

Kyle was also dedicated to giving back to the community that allowed him to live the life he did. If you would like to make a donation to one of Kyle's favorite charities in Kyle's name, please do so. I am posting links to the websites of those charities.

Locks of Love -

---Kyle's hair was always growing long, then he would cut it short. It is not that he couldn't make up his mind, he was actually growing out his hair to cut for this organization. They use the hair to make wigs for children under the age of 18 that have medical conditions that cause long term hair loss. He was just about ready to cut it again.

American Cancer Society -
http://www.cancer.org
---Kyle lost his sister Carlene to leukemia when he was young and he always made sure to give back to this wonderful organization.

Emmaus House -

---Kyle had planned on providing beauty services to the ladies of the Emmaus House free of charge. Although it had not come to fruition, we can still donate and maybe they will get those services. I feel very sorry for those ladies as they were just about to make a great new friend in Kyle.

Please be sure to check out the links to Kyle's Photos. There are about 150 photos so far and more keep pouring in. If you have pictures that you would like posted, please email them to ninokyle@kyleweaver.net and I will get them posted.

Stay Strong Friends.

Kyle was introduced to me in junior high school by my best friend, Missy Ward. We met in the Tetons at age 15 while hiking with my best friend's family. I was immediately drawn to his cool blue eyes and warm smile. He was fun to be around, had a great laugh, and knew how to have a good time.

We dated off and on in high school, and Missy and I even traveled to American Falls once to spend time with him and Keith Jukes, his best friend. He was into "Beavis and Butthead" and could laugh just like Beavis, which made me cringe. He had an adult friend take us out on the reservoir to go water-skiing and knee-boarding, and when Kyle showed us all the stuff he could do, I was mesmerized and thought in my silly, young heart, "Oooooh, I'm in love!" He was like a California surfer dude...so tan, so buff, so blonde.

I remember he and Keith coming to my house in Idaho Falls to make pizza. That was a blast!

Kyle came to the closing night of "Cinderella" when I was a junior, and stayed for the cast party. He and I had burping contests with the root beer. He won...

He was the first guy I ever kissed on a date, and that was the only time we ever kissed. It was innocent and sweet.

I lost track of him after high school. Missy told me he was getting into doing hair, which by looking at some of his photos, that's what his passion became.

Kyle was a nice guy, a good friend. We didn't spend much time together, but the times we did were fun and memorable.

I'm sure his family and close friends are missing him terribly.

Wishing you all peace and hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Kyle has been a friend of mine since he moved to Hollister many years ago. He was at my 19th birthday party with a bunch of our Round Table Pizza buddies! Kyle was loved by our entire family. His bright eyes, honest smile and good natured ways are hard to let go. I can't believe that someone who was one of the best of us would leave us so soon. Kyle, your spirit lives on in all of us. I miss you, and I will think of you often.

I met Kyle through Christian in college and we hung out at parties w/ mutual friends. We weren't close, but he was always sooo much fine to hang out with. He had an infectious smile and was a fun dance partner. He will be missed.
